online dating/ dating scams

Over the past week, our class has been discussing the affects of online dating. During my posts this week, I have read some pretty interesting views. Some of my colleagues have had some experience with online dating good and bad. Personally. I have never visited Ds or any other online match making site, but students like Emily, Maren and Joel and myself all disagree with the article's notion that all online dating sites are different. We all somewhat agreed that these sites all have the characteristics of an online community. Each of us have similarities  that describe our reasons why we thinks online communities are the same. The other article titled "Down the Rabbit Hole" compares two communities. Cyberspace vs Real-Life are compared. The author makes comparisons between the two making note that people refer online relationships rather than real- life. Baker states that if two people make regular discussions online, they two can become close in comparison of offline relationships.
